Chris Erion, DVM
Dr. Chris Erion has been at Keizer Veterinary Clinic since May of 1997. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Francisco State University in 1984 with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and graduated from Iowa State University in 1996 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He served as President of Marion County Veterinary Association in 1998, and his areas of interest in the veterinary field include internal medicine, oncology, and behavior management.
Dr. Erion is married to his wife Sue, and they have one son, Collyn. Their family also includes a rambunctious tabby named Freckles. Dr. Erion enjoys climbing (summiting most of the mountains in Oregon) and is an avid runner. He completed the Boston Marathon in 1996 and 2011, and has started to compete in triathlons, completing Iron Man Canada in 2015. He also swam from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco, followed by the San Francisco Marathon in 2012.He enjoys spending time watching his son play collegiate tennis and spending time with his family at their cabin in Southern Oregon. Locally, Dr. Erion has been involved in wood cutting and delivery donations, volunteering for a running and exercise internship program at the local community college, and participating in winter bird counts (a part of a large community of birders to provide data accumulated by Cornell) for determining migratory patterns and local species populations.
Michael Foland, DVM
Dr. Foland has been a part of the Keizer Veterinary Team for 36 years. He earned his B.S. degree in microbiology, and his graduated from Iowa State University with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. Doctor Foland's areas of interest in veterinary care are orthopedics, lameness, soft tissue surgery, and general medicine. Dr. Foland is a past president of Oregon Veterinary Medicine Association, twice past president of Marion-Polk Veterinary Association, and past board member of Oregon Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Foland has two sons, one flies F-15 Strike Eagle in the USAF and the other is an electrical engineer for Intel. He has two cats named Charlie and Sarah. When he is not working at Keizer Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Foland enjoys photography, travel, camping, cooking, gardening, and remodeling his home. He also works with humanitarian organizations in Mexico, including sanitation projects, education promotion for orphans, and water projects.
Kim Girouard, DVM, CVA. (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist)
Dr. Kim Girouard has been a part of the Keizer Veterinary Clinic team since May 1985. He earned his DVM in 1983 from Oregon State University and Washington State University. He is certified in veterinary acupuncture and has a professional interest in soft tissue reconstructive surgery and reproductive medicine. Dr. Girouard was awarded Rotarian of the Year and served as past Keizer Rotary Club President, past Keizer Iris Festival Chair, past Keizer Iris Festival Parade Chair, past Keizer Chamber of Commerce Board Member, and past Willamette Humane Society board member. Dr. Girouard has two children, Michelle and Ryan, and a 4 year-old Havanese named Roxley.
Nicole Hatch, DVM
Dr. Hatch joined the Keizer Veterinary Clinic team in November of 2014. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State University in 2007. Dr. Hatch has a special interest in behavioral medicine. She is a member of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Hatch knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian; she has always had a love for both animals and science. She loves being able to see and hug furry critters every day! Dr. Hatch is married and has a beautiful daughter, Morgan. They also share their house with a Golden Retriever named Athena and an orange tabby named Tempus. Outside of work, Dr. Hatch enjoys reading suspense novels, scrapbooking, and watching movies.
